New New York Jets RB Stevan Ridley Gets Jets Tattoo After Signing Just a One-Year Deal

Stevan Ridley was not very good last season. In the six games he played in he carried the ball 94 times for just 340 yards and two touchdowns. It's probably why there was such little interest in the former Patriots running back on the free agent market, and why he ended up signing with the Jets. The Jets are probably going to become a run heavy team next season again and could use a guy that is capable.

Ridely did have one good season in 2012 (290 carries for 1263 yards and 12 touchdowns) and the Jets are probably banking on that guy showing up. They are not willing to wait long for him to do so because they only gave him a one year deal.

That was enough for him to pledge his eternal loyalty to the team by getting some new ink--a Jets logo tattoo:

He posted this video to his Instagram account of a dude in a Saints hat doing the work:

It will be interesting to see if he gets enough of a chance to prove enough to the team to bring him back for another season. Chris Ivory is going to be the starter heading in to camp, and with the team's wide receiver corps looking good with Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall you know they are going to want to pass the ball (or at least try to with Geno Smith the likely QB).

Call it a hunch, but unless he plans on getting a tat for every team he plays on he may have jumped the gun on getting this one.
