Several NFL Teams Interested in Tevaughn Campbell After Blazing 40 At Canadian Combine [VIDEO]

Remember the name Tevaughn Campbell sports fans. After the 40-yard dash that he ran at the Canadian Football League combine last Thursday chances are pretty high that he is going to here his name called by an NFL team later this month. What was so special about his 40?

He set a new CFL combine record with a 4.35.

According to Sportsnet's Justin Dunk the Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Rams, Colts, Jaguars, Packers, Lions and Redskins have all expressed interest and have requested film of the speedster to evaluate. What makes his time even better is that he says he can do better, and he probably could!
“The time was good, but I thought I could do better,” Campbell told the Regina Leader Post’s Ian Hamilton after the combine, which was held in Toronto. “I was a little tired from the shuttle run and the three-cone drill we had to do before (the 40). I was a little stiff too, so I didn’t get my knees up as high as I wanted.”
Chances are there will be a few teams that will bring him in for a workout or two, When they do he will undoubtedly run a 40 again. If he does record a faster time you know we will hear about it.

A two-sport athletes at the University of Regina he has excelled at both track and football for sometime. He has won four medals for the track team including a gold in the 60 meter dash in 2012 and in the 4x200M relay in 2014. In 2013 he was named to the second team All Canadian football team in 2013.

On the football team he played defensive back and returned kicks and punts. He holds the record for average kick return with 21.2 yards., His punt return average is second best in school history (10.48).

To put his 40 time in to perspective it is the fastest recorded at any combine since 2000, and the 10th fastest of all time. He also finished second at the CFL Combine in the vertical (38.5 inches) and broad (10 feet 9.75 inches) jumps.

(Wouldn't it suck to be the guy running after him?)
