Texas A&M Commit Daylon Mack Stirs Up A Hornets Nest On Twitter After Making Fun of Charlie Strong

Daylon Mack is expected to stir up a whole lot of trouble for offensive coordinators next season when he lines up next to Myles Garrett next season for Texas A&M. However, Thursday night he stirred up a pretty big hornet's nest on Twitter after poking a little fun at Texas Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong.

All he did was post a t-shirt with a direct quote from Strong, but a lot of fans and players took serious offense to it and let Mack know.

via Twitter
Mack tweeted a picture of a t-shirt with a quote from Strong that appeared in an ESPN article. While true, it was not the smartest comment Strong could have made.

Many fans took offense to it and replied to Mack with some very NSFW comments. Lots of players replied as well and tried to downplay Mack's talent. Mack had the perfect reply for them:

Come one guys! Don't y''all remember hanging out with him when he visited Austin? Don't you remember all the tweets you sent his way trying to get him to come to Austin? One guy clearly didn't

Most of the players took offense to Mack's tweet even though all he did was repeat what their own head coach had said about the team. Some of the responses were funny:

The only defense they could present to Mack's tweet of Strong's own comment was how A&M hasn't won anything (specifically a national title) and how great Texas was because they won one over a decade ago. Many also tweeted the record between the two teams in the rivalry. So basically because the Longhorns were a great team back in 2005 they are still awesome now even though they had a losing record last season.

What's really funny about the whole mess is that most of the guys tweeting about how great Texas was have yet to play for the Longhorns yet or are not even on campus. The only one that tweeted anything sensible was Malik Jefferson.
