Cardinals DB Tyrann Mathieu Just Became Jimmmy Graham's Favorite Target

The Seattle Seahawks have one of the best young tight ends in the league in Jimmy Graham. The Arizona Cardinals have one of the best young defensive backs in the league in Tyrann Mathieu. The two are going to meet on the field at least twice next season in what should be one heck of a game (as long as Carson Palmer is healthy).

Should there come a time where Jimmy Graham gets a chance to hit/block someone thanks to some recent comments Mathieu will likely be public enemy No. 1.

Why? During a recent appearance on NFL Total Access Mathieu called Graham out for his inability to block:
"I'm looking forward to Jimmy Graham, obviously. I was kind of excited that he came to our division. It's physical. So he's going to have to block."

Graham could take offense to that, but if he is honest with himself he probably will not. Blocking is something he is not known for and the Seahawks have been trying to fix that. According to Seattle offensive line coach Tom Cable Graham had this to say about Graham's blocking:
"He is so athletic ... that once he learns how to, he's going to be fine, and he more than wants to," Cable told 710 ESPN Seattle. "If you want to, and you have the ability athletically to do it, there's no question you can do it."
With his shoulder issues the Seahawks may not want to have him get involved in too much blocking if they can avoid it. It sure would be a shame to trade for a guy like Graham only to lose him for six weeks because he banged up his shoulder trying to block a defensive lineman.

Whether he takes offense to the comments or not it would not be surprising if Graham wanted to lay out Mathieu just once to shut him up.
