Eli Manning on Deflated Footballs: There is a Noticeable Difference

Whenever there is something remotely scandalous going on in the NFL the media seems to love to ask what other players think about it. Sometimes it appears as if the media is trying to get someone to publicly bash another player; kick them when their down so to speak. Recently Eli Manning was asked for his two cents on the whole Deflate Gate mess.

He refused to hate on Tom Brady or the Patriots, but he did have something of interest to say.

Apparently he was curious about what it would be like to play with deflated balls:

"I have studied it a little bit over the last few months and felt a few air pressures to see what it feels like and it is a way of getting an advantage and breaking the rules. I guess it's the short story to it all.

"There is a difference, there is a noticeable difference. Whether it's an advantage or not, I guess that's all dependent on what a QB likes or what it's like in cold weather or if it's wet, there might be other factors to it."

He brings up a good point on the real benefit being dependent on the quarterback's preference. It doesn't make any sense to do it otherwise, and it certainly lends credibility to the idea that Brady was directly involved in the whole mess.

Theoretically speaking of course (since the direct evidence is kind of lacking).
