Former Texas Longhorns Long Snapper Nate Boyer Picked Up By Seattle Seahawks After Draft Concludes

One of the best stories of the 2015 NFL Draft ended up having a happy ending after all. Texas Longhorns long snapper Nate Boyer was hoping to have a shot at playing in the NFL. While it is not common for long snappers to get drafted it does happen. What is not common though is for a 34-year old rookie to be drafted.

Boyer had served his country as a Green Beret for a number of years before attending the University of Texas and becoming the team's long snapper.

He wasn't drafted, but as it turns out he is going to get his shot anyway. After the draft concluded he got a call from the Seattle Seahawks and will become an undrafted free agent for the two-time NFC Champions. Not bad for a guy that had never played football before going to college.

Congratulations Nate! There is not a more deserving player in the country!
