Frank Gore Looking Forward to Having an Easier Time Running Next Season

Frank Gore has been one of the better running backs in the NFL in recent years. For ten years he pounded away at defensive  fronts often facing eight or even nine men in the box since the team didn't always have the best passing attack during his tenure. However, that is all going to change now that he is in Indianapolis.

He expressed that sentiment after a recent practice.

Gore had this to say to the media:
“I can’t wait. Just knowing that you’re going into a game, not seeing 8-man, 9-man boxes,” said Gore. “This will be the first time in my career, where it’s a partly filled box. I just want to see how it really is with 6, 7 in a box. I’m excited about that.”
With the weapons the Colts have in the passing game defenses have to respect the damage Indianapolis can do in the air over the ground game first. For Gore this could mean his best season since he averaged 5.4 yards a carry back in 2006.

  1. Frank forgot that it's the Colts offensive line he'll be running behind. Let's wait till the to see how well he does.
