Houston Astros First Baseman Jon Singleton Drives in 10-Runs in Single Minor League Game

The Houston Astros have been a team in transition for a couple seasons now. They have shied away from high price talent and counted on developing young guys and inexpensive veterans for the most part. Not a bad plan except sometimes they have ended up playing guys that were not quite ready for the Show.

That was the case for first baseman Jon Singleton last season who had just 44 RBIs in 95 games for Houston. Going in to Wednesday's minor league game he had 25 RBIs in just 31 games; a number he increased by 40 percent after Wednesday's game.

Yes, that means he had 10 RBIs last night courtesy of a grand slam, a two-run blast, and a pair of singles.

The team went on to win 17-6.
