Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon Was Denied Reinstatement By the NFL

There has been a lot of speculation over the NFL future of suspended Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon. Many have assumed that he is not interested in playing anymore since he had not applied for reinstatement (as far as anyone knew). From the sound of things coming from the team they do not expect him to be back.

So--what is it? Will the former first round pick play again? Does he want to?

It appears that the answer is yes, that he does want to play again, but as to when or if he will remains in question. According to Associated Press reporter Mark Long he applied for reinstatement, but was denied.

Confirmed via @APMarkLong that Justin Blackmon DID apply for reinstatement and was denied.

While the exact reason for his denial has not been confirmed rumor has it that it involved either a failed drug test or a misses test:

Wow. Talk about a waste of talent. Hopefully he gets his act together well enough to have a nice life even if it does not involve playing football ever again.
