North Carolina State Takes Down First National Seed With 9th Inning Home Run Against TCU [VIDEO]

After a couple days of NCAA baseball postseason action there was one thing that had yet to happen--a national side had not been defeated. That is to be expected in a way since those are supposed to be the best teams in the nation, but Saturday night that all changed. With one out left in the ninth inning, down by one, and a man on North Carolina State Chance Shephard launched a home run over the center field wall to give his team a 5-4 lead.

TCU was unable to mount enough offense in the bottom of the ninth, and with that the first national seed lost. If they can beat Stony Brook tomorrow afternoon they will get a chance for revenge later in the day.
