Randy Gregory Struggles in First Practice With Cowboys; Leaves Field Early

Right now the general perception is that the Dallas Cowboys stole a first round pick in the second round when they picked up Randy Gregory. He's admitted to being immature and says he welcomes direction and guidance; that he is going top put all the crap behind him and make the team glad they drafted him.

If he is going to do that, however, he is going to have to get in much, much better shape

Word is that during Day One of rookie mini-camp Friday Gregory had to leave the field early and looked groggy. It seems the sprints were giving him trouble and he was even spotted throwing up.

This is not good of course, but it is good that he sees how far he needs to come now before the week gets really tough during training camp. It's only May. He's got plenty of time to get his butt in game shape.

Sounds like the perfect test for this maturity he wants to show. Will he or won't he put in the work when no one is watching?

It looks like he will be able to make friends with another guy who had maturity issues when he first came in to the league:

What will be interesting to see is if Dez has him carry his pads in from practice.
