For the last few seasons Evan Mathis has graded out as one of the better offensive lineman in the NFL, but for some reason the Eagles seem to think that their offensive line is better off without him. That's like saying the Rolling Stones don't need Mick Jagger, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue doesn't need babes to be popular, and the Olive Garden would do just fine without their awesome bread sticks.
So--yeah. Those guys are nuts. When Evan Mathis gets signed and helps that team go much further than the Eagles next season there will likely still be one idiot that will say the team is better off. In the meantime, Mathis is just going to workout in preparation for next season (because someone will sign him).
