Chicago Bears Rookie WR Kevin White Has Yet to Pay For Diner in Chicago

When it came time for the draft it was pretty clear where the Chicago Bears needed to go. With Brandon Marshall gone they needed another quality wide receiver to line up along with Alshon Jeffrey. So they got one--and a pretty good one at that in West Virginia's Kevin White.

As a newcomer to the team White probably expected to be well received by the fans during the off-season, bu not as well as he has been. When the man goes out to diner he has yet to pay.

After signing a $16.5 million deal with the Bears that came with a $10.3 million signing bonus he can certainly afford to pay for his own meals. He says that he tries to, but is never allowed to:
“The most surprising thing that’s happen to me this far is going out to eat for free. I didn’t expect this restaurant to give it to me for free. I gave them my card, and they said ‘it’s on us.’ So that was a good feeling.”
Take advantage of it now Kevin, because once the season starts all it will take is one bad game for all the love to come to an end. If he plays as well as he talks--and West Virginia fans will say he does--that is not going to be an issue:
“Something I’m going to bring to Chicago, that the fans should know, is my hard work and dedication to the team. Everyday, I’m fighting and willing to do whatever it takes to get better. I’m a competitor, I love the game so when I score or do something exciting I’m going to let the fans and opponents know that I did it.”
During his final season with West Virginia he caught 109 balls for 1447 yards and 10 touchdowns.
