Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and Girlfriend Ciara Are Not Having Sex

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson's name has been in the news a lot this off-season. Whether it's been about his contract, the team's final play in the Super Bowl, playing baseball, or his social life hardly a day goes by when someone, somewhere writes something about him. Once bloggers and journalists around the country hear his latest admission they will be racing to their computers.

Whatever could it be? He and his super hot girlfriend are not having sex after he spoke with God.

Wilson has been very public about his faith. During an appearance with a San Diego pastor Miles McPherson he admitted to something folks probably didn't expect to hear:

"She was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me," Wilson told the pastor. "He said, 'I need you to lead her.'

"I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that "extra stuff" off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?'" the quarterback continued, clarifying that yes, he was "talking about sex."

Wilson went on to say how the two agreed that it would not be easy:

"I ain't gonna lie to y'all now -- I need you to pray for us," he told the congregation. "I know y'all have seen her on the screen. If there's a 10, she's a 15."

This is one of those cases where it would be real easy to be snarky and say something like "Are you sure that was what the voice meant and that it was coming from God and not your 'little buddy'? Maybe you were supposed to lead her to bed..."

Instead I want to wish the two all the best. People tend to be critical of a lot of celebrities when they talk about faith no matter what the context and he will likely get blasted by many for this.

What people should do is learn from his example. There is nothing wrong with trying to stick to one's beliefs no matter what they are. Just because you may not have always done so or been good at it doesn't mean you can't try now.
