Should the Chicago Bears Be Concerned About Losing Alshon Jeffery?

This is going to be a big season for the Chicago Bears. Should Jay Cutler flop again the team is going to have to face the realization that it may have to swallow the cap hit and cut him loose. If he has another bad season and they don't there is a very good chance they could lose another player--wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey.

Jeffrey is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season. If Cutler turns in another stinker of a season why should he stay?

@SinemaNashville
Bears fans will say loyalty which would be unfair to Jeffrey. The game is a business and if he can maximize his earnings elsewhere with a better quarterback why wouldn't he leave?

He certainly doesn't seem to worried about working out with his QB and the other skill position guys. Recently Cutler and the rest of the skill position guys gathered in Nashville to get a workout in ahead of training camp.

The only one absent--Jeffrey.

On one hand, it is nothing to worry about. he and Cutler have been playing together for years and already have a pretty good relationship formed. However, this season there is a new playbook and a new offensive coordinator, A little extra time would not have hurt him in order to give the team the best chance possible out of the gate.

Perhaps the bigger concern should be where he was instead--working out with his ole buddy Brandon Marshall. Should one of the Jets quarterbacks actually play well you know Marshall is going to be in Jeffrey's ear to come to the Big Apple.

A dependent factor on any possible  reunion would be the play of Eric Decker. Jeffery is not going to want to go anywhere he is not at least the No. 2 if not the No. 1 guy.

That doesn't mean Jeffery will not go elsewhere of course.
