It has not been a good year for Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval. Yes, he got paid when he signed a five-year, $95 million deal so it hasn't been all bad. Boston, however, signed him for his bat which has been kind of quiet this season (he's hitting just .262 with only eight home runs).
Now it looks like he could miss some time after getting hit by a pitch Thursday night; one that he happened to swing even though it was just a bit inside.
