Jerome Simpson Doing Enough To Make The San Francisco 49ers Roster?

Jerome Simpson is working on making his third team in six seasons this year. After spending his first three in Cincinnati and the last two in Minnesota he is now trying to make the San Francisco 49ers final roster. They already have two well-established receivers in Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith. Otherwise the roster is full of young talent looking for a shot to show what they got.

Simpson had 726 yards off of 48 receptions last season in Minnesota, but had the ball thrown his way 102 times. He'll need to catch a higher percentage in order to make the final cut in San Francisco. That being said, making plays like this one during a recent practice will certainly help his chances:

  1. Target stats are worthless. Simpson had only one drop in the 48-catch season with the Vikings.
