You would think that fans at training camp would know the difference between the two, but apparently that is not the case.
Coleman's play has been drawing all sorts of comparisons during training camp to Colston, but that is where the similarities end. However, it appears that there were some fans that were duped by Coleman after a recent practice.
He pulled on Colston's jersey and helmet and signed some autographs as Colston. They weigh the same, but Coleman is two inches taller. That being said, unless they got close enough to stare at his face they wouldn't have known.
Coleman apologized for the prank on Twitter Tuesday:
I want to apologize to the fans that were at Sunday's practice for the prank I pulled after practice pretending to b Colston signing my name

It was just a joke and I meant no harm
To the fans that got upset I'm sorry lol

HILARIOUS!!!!!! What a sense of humor! LOL people seriously need to lighten up if they were offended. How cool of a story will this be to tell over drinks years and years down the line? Especially if there is now a Brandon Coleman signature on Marques Colston Memorabilia. What a Gem! This prank was fall-down-laughing-funny, and if "B. Cole" wasn't one of my favorite Saints before, he definitely is now. #WHODAT
