Fans of the Eagles had plans to do something similar for the Cowboys scrimmage. They hired a plane to carry a "WE GOT DEMARCO :)" banner over the Dallas scrimmage, but their plans did not work out as well.

In response to the tragedy, the fan that started the GoFundMe page to pay for the banner announced that the money raised would go to the family of the pilot.
I'll find the pilots name. Whatever money was raised will go to his family. I'm going to step away for a while....beyond devastated.

Since then, fans of the Cowboys have started to donate money along with Eagles fans. As of 9:50 PM ET Sunday night the total is up to $3270.
[UPDATED]
New outlets are now reporting that the crash victim was not the guy hired to fly the Eagles banner over the Cowboys scrimmage:
Spoke to the pilot that was supposed to fly @Eagles Banner today. He is fine. Airport was closed, couldn't take off @6abc @TheMightyEROCK
