Why Don't The Cowboys Or Texans Try To Trade For Kansas City Chiefs RB Knile Davis?

The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans are both talking like they are happy with what they have at running back, but as soon as the two play a preseason game they are bound to wake up and realize they need something better. As far as free agency goes the pickings are slim. It's a choice between the less injury-prone of the bunch.

That leaves both looking to trade in order to pick someone up. Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael's name has been discussed, but there is another player either team should target--Kansas City Chiefs back-up running back Knile Davis.

Davis has filled in for Jamaal Charles in the past and looked pretty good in the process. With him you have a player that is a little more proven than Michael, and not injury prone like many of the guys available on the market.

He does not become a free agent till after the 2016 season. At that time he is going to sign with the highest bidder that will let him be the main man. So for the Chiefs it would not be a bad idea to trade him for a draft pick rather than lose him in free agency.
