When the Dallas Cowboys
lost Tony Romo to injury fans were likely thinking," F*ck! There goes the frigging season!" Something like that tends to deflate a team and invigorate the opponent. It certainly seemed like that was the case when Eagles got near the goal line following the injury, but thanks to
Sean Lee the crisis was averted.
However, later it looked like the sky was falling again when Gavin Escobar fumbled the ball giving the Eagles the short field again.
But then the defense came through with a turnover of their own to give the offense the ball back:
The Eagles looked like they were going to threaten again later in the fourth quarter, but the defense came through with another clutch turnover:
In the end it was certainly the defense that won the day holding DeMarco Murray to two yards on the ground and Chip Kelly's offense to just 226 total yards. Dallas won 20-10.
