Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas Almost Makes A Play Dumber Than Jets WR Brandon Marshall's

Demaryius Thomas is one of the top wide receivers in the game today. However, he is young and young players sometimes make some pretty stupid mistakes. During an early second half play he was getting tackled, thought he would reach out for the first rather than protect the ball while going down, and ended up losing control of it while bringing it back to his body.

It was third down so I get trying to reach out for the first, but you always have to think about ball control first. It doesn't look like he would have had it anyway. There is a lot of time left. No need to take such a chance.

Actually, his play was no where close to as stupid as Brandon Marshall (eh--foolish maybe, but not stupid). Thomas would have been fine had he not lost the ball off the defender's helmet.
