When hank Conger stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning Friday night against the Minnesota Twins with bases loaded he was probably thinking how he would love to get a hit so that he could pad the team's 3-0 lead. A single would likely plate two; a double could possibly clear the bases.
A home run--or in this case a grand slam--would clear the bases too, and give Houston a 7-0 lead.
