Seattle Seahawks Shopping Running Back Christine Michael

Early in the off-season there were rumors that Seahawks running back Christine Michael wanted out of Seattle. It was all ridiculous speculation, but it didn't really go away until he stated on social media he had no desire to leave Seattle.

Now it appears that the team has decided it may be time for him to leave town--if the deal is right.

NFL insider Jason LaCanfora broke the news on Twitter Friday night:

Seahawks are exploring trade options for Christine Michael. Makes sense given their depth at running back especially after signing Jackson

It will be interesting to see what they ask for him. Seattle has been high on his potential since taking him in the second round back in 2013. However, in limited game action (behind Marshawn Lynch) he never really produced much.

So while he looks good on paper he has yet to look good on the field. With Fred Jackson now on the roster it appears that Michael is going to be the odd man out.
