Texas LB Edwin Freeman Fakes Injury After Realizing He Was Not Supposed To Be On Field [UPDATE]

When you are backed up against the goal line the last thing you want is to be responsible for the offense scoring. The second to last thing you want is to be responsible for making it easier on the offense. Texas Longhorns linebacker Edwin Freeman realized a little too late that he was about to do the latter because he was not supposed to be on the field.

So--what does he do? Does he sprint off the field? No! He fakes an injury (awesome).

[UPDATE]

As it turns out he was actually hurt so my apologies for the accusation Edwin.

  1. He was actually injured and is now out 6-8 weeks.

  2. Oh, bologna. He starts off the field TWICE, then stops in response to obvious directions from the sideline and lays down on the field--for a SHOULDER injury? Really? SERIOUSLY?? This was about as conveniently fake as it gets.
