WATCH: Albert Pujols Crushes Career Home Run No. 556

When the St. Louis Cardinals let Albert Pujols walk people thought they were crazy. How could they let a guy go who had been batting .300 or better, hitting 100+ RBIs,  and 30+ home runs every season for the last decade? Could it be because he was due for a decline and they knew it was coming?

Pujols hasn't hit .300 since he left St. Louis and he only had 28 home runs last season and 17 the year before, but this year he appears to have regained his power struck. Against the Houston Astros Tuesday night he smashed career home run No. 556 over the left field wall:
