This is just shameful. Thee only defense the BYU defensive back could have on this play is that he was already going down to make the cut-tackle and couldn't stop himself, but he wasn't. He had plenty of time watch the ball hit the turf and pull up. Instead he opted to take out Sutton's legs from behind. Sutton ended up needing a cart to leave the field.
Shame on you Jordan. For shame.

BYU really is "Thug U" of the West. Most of their Players would be in year 3 or 4 of NFL Careers if they were good enough. It's time for the NCAA to revisit the time exemption they give BYU Thugs for "Missions". BYU is less a College Football Team than a Semi-Pro Club with Player too physically mature to be playing with College "Kids".
ReplyDeleteBeing completely out of football for two years is actually a hindrance, not a help. Those guys come back not even close to football shape, and their skills deteriorate when not playing.

Did you consider at all that the corner didn't see that he didn't catch the ball, and was going for a tackle? You guys can critize all you want, but this one tool me doesn't look malicious at all
