When guys step into the Octagon they are likely prepared for anything--even a shot to the nuts. That doesn't mean they like it, but they know that it could happen. However, there is no real way to prepare yourself for a hit to the nuts so that it will not make you drop to your knees.

Just ask Yusuke Kasuya. During the first round of their fight at UFC Fight Night in Japan. Nick Hein and Yusuke Kasuya were engaged in some close quarters combat when Hein brings his right knee up nice and hard into Kasuya's nuts. As if the nut shot wasn't bad enough, Kauya ended up losing via unanimous decision in the end.
