Pittsburgh Steelers WR Darius Heyward-Bey Finally Coming Into His Own? [GIF]

Darius Heyward-Bey was at one time considered to be an up and coming talent at one time, but after an unsuccessful stay with the Raiders, and a poor one with the Colts, he may finally be coming into his own with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Against the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night he had four receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown (which came on a pretty nice catch):

To be fair (and honest), he has not done a ton in any game. His best day was a four-catch, 77 yard, one touchdown day against the 49ers. However, he has been active and productive member of the team in each game averaging five receptions a contest and 46 yards.

They aren't great numbers, but they are better than what he is accustomed to, and it certainly seemed like Michael Vick liked going to him Thursday night. So maybe if he can prove his value with Vick under center Big Ben will send a few more his way when he comes back.

So--is he coming in to his own? Hopefully not. Hopefully he is just scratching the surface of his potential.
