Ref Stops Central Michigan-Toledo Game To Tell Band And Cheerleaders To be Quiet [VIDEO]

Referees are supposed to make sure that no team is able to do anything that would give them an unfair advantage over the other during the game. Normally this refers to things like holding, pass interference, illegal procedure, and other penalties, but the ref during Tuesday night's Central Michigan-Toledo game took it to a whole new level.

He told the cheerleaders and band to be quiet:


Seriously ref? Come on man! Part of having 'home field' advantage is having a crowd that is loud enough to disturb the snap. It's what makes playing the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs in their house so much fun.

But apparently this ref mistook football for golf, So--how did the cheerleaders respond? Exactly as they should:
