Teammates Making Fun Of Raiders LB Ray Ray Armstrong For Taunting Police Dog

Oakland Raiders linebacker Ray Ray Armstrong could actually be in some serious trouble for doing something kind of silly and just a little stupid.  He barked at a police dog. Apparently that is a big deal in Pittsburgh because it is classified as a felony and could get him seven years should the judge decide to make an example of him.

Yes, this is real.

He was in the tunnel at the stadium when he saw the dog, pounded on his chest and barked at him. There has been no indication that it bothered the dog in anyway, and no charges have been filed. There is actually an investigation underway.

Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio finds the whole situation kind of silly, and it appears that his teammates are not taking it too seriously either:

The wording of the law is as follows: it is a third degree felony “for any person to willfully or maliciously taunt, torment, tease, beat, kick or strike a police animal.” So it sounds like the intention was to cover more serious things than what Armstrong did, but according to the letter of he law--assuming he did what he has been accused of--he is guilty.

As ridiculous as his situation is it bears monitoring over the next few days.
