WATCH: Kyle Long Gets Beat Then Gets Mad At the Ref Because Jay Cutler Got Whacked

Kyle Long is a good offensive lineman; one of the better ones in the league, but he is not infallible. He made a mistake on the play below and got beat off the line by the Chargers linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu. As a result, Jay Cutler got whacked pretty hard after he threw the ball. Was it a late hit? Eh--maybe, but the ref didn't think so.
Long missed the block, but for some reason thought he could argue with the ref about whether the hit was late or not. You know--because refs often change their minds when players do that.

This one didn't, but he did do what many refs do when guys like Long get in their face and say some things we can only assume were unpleasant--he hit him with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty which took the Bears out of field goal range.
