Thursday morning fans thought they got an answer.
Jumpman, Jumpman, Jumpman Josh Doctson up to something #Big12FB on ESPN2 http://t.co/BlOoMefGTZ

TCU head coach Gary Patterson was making an appearance on Sirius Radio and made a comment that the radio personality misconstrued as saying Doctson was out for the season. So he tweeted to the world that Patterson had just told him Josh Doctson was out for the season.
It didn't take long for a conflicting report to start making the rounds as well:
Will the real Gary Patterson please report to the front desk? pic.twitter.com/2dZt7tZcNC

Patterson decided to clear it up himself and tweet the truth:
Josh Doctson will play!
— Gary Patterson (@TCUCoachP) November 12, 2015
As it turns out, what Patterson had said was that he would be gone in three game and a bowl game (because he's a senior).
