After seven long weeks college fans and pundits around the nation can finally begin debating who will compete for the national title in earnest. Why? Because the first BCS rankings of the season are finally out!
There really aren't any surprises in the lot. Alabama is of course the No. 1 team; when you are the defending champions and are undefeated No. 1 is where you belong. Florida bumped Oregon (who has been No. 2 in the AP and USA Today polls for weeks) back to No. 3. The Gators have simply played a tougher schedule than the Ducks so far...
