Bill Belichick Not in Super Mood After Loss to Baltimore

Does anyone like to lose? Do you feel good when it happens? Do you feel like talking? For most folks the answer is "no" to all three questions, but depending on your position you may not have the luxury to say no to the last one.

In times of defeat the team and the media is going to look to one person to comment--the head coach. It's part of his job. New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick likely did talk to his team following Sunday's 28-13 thumping by the Baltimore Ravens, but he forgot the other part of his job--the media.

CBS studio analysts Shannon Sharpe had no problem ripping Belichick for the slight (see the video below). As many times as he has been to the Super Bowl and the AFC championship game Belichick should be well versed on how to act. I am not a big fan of the league levying fines for everything under the sun, but this is one case where Goodell does need to send a message.

Players and coaches at the NFL level should be pretty emotional following a loss, but at this point in their careers they should have enough professionalism (not to mention maturity) to come out of the locker room and say a few customary words to whomever is holding a mic.

Act your age guys. It's not that hard.
