Manti Te'o Fake Girlfriend Hoax Goes From Bad to Worse

I know what you are thinking. How in the world can this story get worse for Manti Te'o? The young Notre Dame linebacker has been busted and made to look like a fool already. He had a relationship with a "person" online for years! He fell in love! He never met her!

The poor guy talked about her non-stop after she died even. Every time he did an interview for someone he was asked about the two women in his life that died at the start of the season, his grandmother and girlfriend Lennay Kekua. It's not like he could claim they were just friends!

To make matters worse he was foolish enough to state that even after the back-from-the-dead phone call he was not certain it was a hoax until he talked to the hoax mastermind, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, a couple days after the initial story broke.



So how could this get worse?

The voice that captivated the heart of mind of Manti--was a dude.

Since the scandal broke I am sure there are other fans like me that were hoping for the linebacker's sake that at least the source of the voice would  be some beautiful woman with the sultry voice of a naughty angel.

But no. It's a dude.

According to a story that has now been reported across numerous news platforms(I first caught it on Yahoo!), Tuiasosopo's lawyer, Milton Grimes, has stated that the whole thing as a one-man show and that it was his client's voice on the phone.

He tried to soften the blow by pointing out that Ronaiah is an actor with voice training. As much as I am sure it is appreciated there is no helping this. No matter how you spin it the voice on the other end of the phone was still that of a man's--not a woman.
