Randy Moss made a splash at Media Day on Tuesday for calling himself the greatest wide receiver of all time. While it is great that he has that kind of confidence in his game it is easy to say and obvious to the rest of the world that he is far from being the G.O.A.T.
An argument can be made for his numbers, but even Moss would say that is not the most important thing. However, his impact has not been as great as he would like to think. He had a fantastic season in New England in '07 he failed to help the team win a Super Bowl, and was actually largely unseen in the post season that year.
Jerry Rice on the other hand has better numbers and was a major player throughout the season and the post season for his teams. Plus he never had a down year like Randy admits to having nor has anyone ever had reason to question his work ethic or how hard he tries on the field.
The G.O.A.T. doesn't ever half-a** on the field Randy.
Your good; heck, you are one of the best, but a poor work ethic and laziness kept you from actually being what you think you are.
