So Apparently Not Too Many Players Like Roger Goodell (Shocker)

Super Bowl week is the time to for the folks that run the league to really enjoy themselves. There is still plenty of work to be done in the final week, but the parties and all the pageantry that goes along with the final week of the season and the big game totally makes up for it (I would think).

Too bad Roger Goodell will likely not enjoy it all too-much this season.

It should come as no surprise that the Commish has such a low approval rating--39 percent. The number of fines are outrage these days. It wasn't that long ago when it was a big deal for someone to get fined. Now it seems to be done if a player just looks at another cross-eyed. I can't help but wonder if fines were always occurring and we never heard about it, or if the flood of them is truly Goodell's doing.

Then there is the safety issue. That is not his fault, but as the current leader of the league and the guy that has to answer all the questions he takes the brunt of the criticism.

I can only imagine the flack he'll receive in New Orleans this week whenever he does brave the air outside of his hotel. Call it a hunch, but they might have a small reason to be less than hospitable towards me.
