An enterprising reporter thought he would get ahead of the
rest of the media yesterday by running with a story about Houston Texans
running back Arian Foster looking to have heart surgery in the next month, a
cardiac ablation to be exact.
The surgery was to deal with an issue that caused him to
have an irregular heart beat late in the season and have to leave a game, but
it is a condition Foster says he has been dealing with his entire life.
As it turns out the reporter got a bit ahead of himself so
after stories of a pending surgery swirled around on Thursday Foster released
the following statement to set the record straight on Friday:
“Thank you all for the concern. As of now, I have no
complications with my blood pumper. There was a casual conversation with a
reporter about my particular condition that turned public. But I have not, nor
do I plan to anytime in the near future, have conversations with my doctors
about any surgery. I am feeling well and am as exuberant as ever. Love and
light to all those concerned!”
Silly reporter; getting us all worried for nothing. Shame on
you reporter! Shame!
