Tuesday night the sun was certainly shining on Samuel Dalembert’s behind--yes, even thought it was night and the game was in doors.
The veteran big men became the first player to ever score 35 points and pull down 12 boards in 27 minutes or less.

Yes, this is the same big man that had only scored 39 points in 2013; the same guy that has only average in double figures twice in his career (2006-07 and 2007-08). Even then, it was only 10.7 and 10.5 points. This season he is scoring less than six points a game.
Needless to say this is a new career high for him. His previous high was a 27 point night he had against Golden State back on March 14, 2011, when he was still playing with Sacramento.
He actually could have/should have done better. Good ole Samuel hit 16 of 17 shots in the first 18 minutes, and finished 17 of 21. What the heck was he doing the other nine or so minutes that he was in the game?
Slacking off?
Sadly, it was in a losing effort. The Nuggets overcame an early 17-point deficit to go on to win 112-104.
