Over the course of two shows Dr. Phil got the man ind Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend to kinda/sorta come clean. Me, personally, I wasn't too pleased with the whole interview. I think there is still something much larger involved that we don't know.
Ole Ronaiah just seemed to be talking out of the side of his mouth a little too much for my liking.
Now if it's because he's protecting other people involved in the hoax then fine. While those people deserve the public ridicule that Manti and Ronaiah are going to get I can respect that he is trying to protect his 'friends.'
If that is the case...
At least one of the big questions of the day did get answered. Dr. Phil left the audience hanging yesterday after ripping Ronaiah a new one and accusing him of lying about being the voice on the voice mails. As part of today's show he went behind a screen to try and recreate the "Lennay" voice (see the video above).
Phil wasn't buying.I thought he sounded more feminine there then in the voice mails that Katie Couric played and Deadspin posted. Phil had him do the voice again over the phone.
The interview ended with a big apology, but I dount we'll hear the end of this mess just yet. There is something that we do not know here. Is it our business necessarily? No. However, by lying to the American public they make it our business.
If/when the full truth does come out I will be more than happy to post some sort of stupid, ridiculous post about it!
