When you are one of the best at what you do in football (or anything) you expect to be paid accordingly, right? As logical as that sounds it might not be possible for free agent safety Ed Reed.
The Houston Texans hosted Reed recently, and after losing Glover Quinn in free agency are in need of someone to take over that role in Wade Phillips’s defense. They had hoped it would be Reed, but unless he comes down from his price or the Texans find some more cap space it isn’t looking good.
Rumor has it that Houston has offered him around $4 million a season over the next three years. Last season Reed made $7.2 million....
