Can training camp start already? Maybe what the NFL needs to do is something similar to year-round school for kids and elongate training camp or something; maybe make early reporting an option for guys.

Who knows--maybe that would have saved Colts safety Joe Lefeged from becoming the latest statistic in the NFL crime wave.

There are not a whole lot of details initially on what he has been arrested for. What we do know is that the undrafted free agent out of Rutgers in 2011 is from the area (born in Gaithersburg, MD; NFL.com says he was from Germantown which is 30 miles outside of DC), and for the last two years has been a regular contributor on the field having played in every game.

NFL.com has discovered that he and an associate were arrested on multiple gun-related charges early Saturday morning....
