Philadelphia Eagles Running Back Tied to Dog Fighting Scandal

It had to happen to the team that Michael Vick plays for, but it has so you know the comedians on Twitter are going to have a field day with it. One of his teammates, running back Bryce Brown, has been tied to a potential dog-fighting scandal.

However, the connection is nothing like it was with Vick.

According to the Leader-Telegram, the kennel where Brown had sent his pit bull for stud services is under investigation for dog-fighting. On May 21 authorities took 27 dogs into custody including Brown's.

Initially the Northland Pits were being investigated for mistreating animals and running a breeding kennel without a license. At the time the dogs were taken into custody officers noticed what looked like scarring that is common with dogs involved with fighting.

Brown, however, was not involved and once authorities were able to establish that he was allowed to take his dog and her seven puppies home. So while he was involved it was more an example of someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
