Johnny Manziel Talks Tim Tebow on ESPN's First Take

This clip is bound to get a lot of people going. It involves ESPN's First Take, a show that seems to thrive off of creating controversy. That in itself is a pretty big red flag.

Tack on the fact that you have two of America's favorite quarterbacks involved--Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel and New England's Tim Tebow--and the stage is set for a hailstorm to come from their legions of social media followers.

No two QBs seem to get people talking quite like Tim Tebow ad Johnny Manziel. Whether its Tebow being capable of playing in the NFL or Manziel living the good lifelike no Heisman winner (or college athlete) ever has without impermissible benefits involved people love to talk about these two.

Even if it is often hate....

So when the First Take duo of Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith asked him his thoughts on Tim Tebow as an NFL quarterback--well, if anyone actually watched that show other than bloggers looking for something to write about I think the hailstorm would have already begun.

To be fair, I don't think there is anything wrong with what Johnny Football says here. He recognized Tebow's attributes and gave his honest opinion of him. As a fellow Heisman winner and someone whose game has benefited greatly from working with a QB coach he is uniquely qualified to offer up is two cents.

But that is all it is--his two cents.

In my opinion I think Manziel was completely respectful of Tebow (and overly respectful of the show--but he is a good Texas boy). That being said, I can see the haters making much more of his final comment in the clip,"I would hope I'm a better passer than Tim Tebow."

Let's be real here folks. Tebow is a career 48.7 percent passer in the NFL so far. Who would not want to be better than that?

We've all heard that Tebow's mechanics have been fixed, but until he proves it to the world the stats don't lie. He's a tremendous leader; not a tremendous passer.
