LeBron James Shoe Shooting: Man Kills Robber and Gets Back in Line for Shoes

Kids, ask Mom and Dad about when the original Jordan's came out and they will likely remember hearing stories or even know someone who was robbed for their shoes. It appears like you will be able to tell similar stories, but about LeBron James's shoes instead.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the roughly 50 people that were waiting in line at Wish, an Atlanta shoe and clothing store, for the 22 pairs of LeBron X Denims that were going on sale had been warned about a pickpocket that had been working in the area lately.

Sure enough the robber struck, but this time there was someone there to step up for the victims. A person in-line that happened to be armed stepped out of line and shot the robber. After killing the thief the man simply got back in line.

It appears that the police are treating the incident as self-defense, and have no plans to pursue any charges at this time. The name of the shooter has not been released, but police say he was properly licensed to carry a firearm.
“He [the shooter] really stood up for all of us,” said Taylor White, who told Channel 2 that he was in line when the shooting happened. “I salute the homie that did that.”
No word yet on whether the man got a pair of the $180 shoes or not (I sure hope so).

  1. You kill a man for that. You coward. Could you not have given him a beat down. No it takes a man to knuckle up but a sap to shoot someone. Guns make everyone tough but be careful it just may be your fate. Sad World

  2. With no talk of this other guy having a weapon I'm a little surprised its getting passed off so easily as self defense. The guy was a pickpocket. Where was the imminent harm?

  3. To be honest I've never been robbed or pick pocketed so I don't know how I'd react, but with the details available it seems kind of suspect.
