Let's Not Forget Tim Duncan

The San Antonio Spurs took Game One of the NBA Finals beating the Miami Heat 92-88. Since then the bulk of the attention has been on Tony Parker and righteously so. That final shot of his was just sick!

Some are already calling for Tony Parker to be named MVP assuming the the Heat continue to flounder and the Spurs win. While Tony did have a great game punctuated by that play, Duncan's game was even better--just not as dramatic.

Parker contributed 21 points and 6 assists. Duncan--20 points and 14 boards!

But Tony is clutch!

Yeah--so is Duncan (just check out the play above); he's just not as dramatic as Parker. He makes it look easy. When you are the Big Fundamental it should look effortless.

This is in no way a knock on Tony Parker at all. He did have a tremendous game, but so did TD.

And let's not forget that.
