Texas A&M’s Future Looks Very Bright at QB

The buzz around College Station is a little crazy this year. It’s been a long time since the Aggies have headed into a season with expectation as high as they are going to be. With Johnny Manziel at the helm those expectations are not unreasonable.




While there is no need to worry about it just yet, when it comes to college football fortunes can change dramatically from one season to the next. So when Johnny Football goes pro—after this season or the next—will that be the end of the Aggies?

Will it be back to mediocrity or worse when Manziel is gone?

The Aggie Nation will be glad to know the answer is no. In fact, the future at quarterback could be very bright for the next five of six seasons.

Johnny Manziel will be at the helm this coming season of course. Should he return for his junior season the team will obviously be in good shape for another season with him in control and a veteran group of wide receivers led by Mike Evans.

If Manziel does head to the NFL after this season the reigns will likely be handed over to a member of the class of 2014, Kyle Allen from Scottsdale, Arizona. Depending on the service you read, he is a 4 or 5 star recruit; the top high school recruit in Arizona and one of the best in the nation (No. 27 by Rivals.com)...
