The LA Dodgers knew they were getting something special with Cuban defector Yusiel Puig. They could have brought him up at the beginning of the season with the kind of spring he had, but they wanted him to mature a little in the minor.
Whether he did any maturing only he and the Dodgers know, but the man's game has proven to be MLB worthy just in his first week in the league after getting the call and making his debut last Monday. With a cannon of an arm and one of the most dangerous bats in baseball the Dodgers are getting the buzz they hoped for.
