Arkansas Head Coach Bret Bielema's Wife Does it Again; Comes Up With 'Gang' Sign for Team

After the way that Bobby Petrino left the team and the lackluster season the Arkansas Razorbacks had in 2012 there was need for some new blood in town. The Razorback Nation got it in the form of new Head Coach Bret Bielema, but little did anyone know at the time just how big a part of things his wife Jen would be.

Prior to the season opener Jen shared with the world a now infamous picture of herself wearing a hog's nose to show her support for her husband's team. Now it appears that she has taken her fan-dom a step further and created a new tradition of the Arkansas Faithful--the school's very own 'gang' sign.

Throwin' the A.

I didn't bother to search the internet long enough to find some critics--and there are always critics, but I dig it. I think it is awesome that she is trying to help support her husband's team and encourage fans to get behind the kids.

No one would fault a coach's wife for not getting involved like this. After all, it is his job, not hers. While you would expect a spouse to support the other, doing so publicly like this goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Which just makes her that much more awesome.

  2. I agree. Some idiot is always trying to make something out of nothing. As we have always said the media outside the state has always been negative about Arkansas. I like the way she supports the team.
